Greetings to all my colleagues in the Executive Council, the teaching faculty of S.I.E.T. group of Colleges-Schools, our students and to all members of our staff involved in keeping the Campus functioning.
At the outset, I am humbled to have been elected to the position of Chairperson. I would like all of us to join together to ensure that the S.I.E.T. brand is at the top of the list of preferred institutions once again. Let us do whatever it takes to get the brand right to the top.
We welcome Mr. Hameed Ahmed Sayeed as he takes up the mantle of Secretary. His experience in the corporate world is sure to see us to the top of the list of the most desirable colleges and schools in the country.
We welcome Dr. (Mrs.) Sanjida Haris as the new Treasurer. She comes to this role with many encomiums but principally, as a person of quiet certitude.
The schools on campus continue to pose challenges. We are working towards converting both the Girls and Boys school to the CBSE syllabus, which is expected to significantly improve admissions and enhance the overall perception of the quality of education.
The Dyslexia Centre stands to work with the objective of making education more inclusive and facilitate the dyslexic students towards better performance and this should always be the goal. We will be highly selective as to whom we admit in the coming year, as the Centre cannot handle children with special needs who need to be educated in specialized institutions.
A merger of the Girls and Boys schools is envisaged to achieve economies of scale and demand outstanding performance from the teachers.
The S.I.E.T. Nursery is now filled with UKG and LKG kids who have moved from the Boys School. Mr. Furhan Sayeed, our newest EC member, has been working very hard to change the method of teaching for the Nursery kids and the management fully supports his efforts.
The VTI school is preparing to introduce courses in Information Technology and Artificial Intelligence (AI), aligning its offerings with global academic and industry trends. Existing programs are being upgraded and revamped, while new and contemporary courses are being introduced to ensure our students remain equipped with the skills and knowledge required for the future.
We value and deeply appreciate the originality that each of you brings to your Ph.D. Research. Authentic, creative scholarship not only strengthens each ones academic journey but also enhances the reputation of our institution. Please know that our Principals are committed to supporting you academically and, when needed, financially, with the institution bearing the related costs.
Of course, the crown jewel is J.B.A.S. College with a student strength of around 7000. The academic year 2026 – 27 will see a host of new courses being offered, which will greatly enhance the employability of our female graduates. Some existing courses will be upgraded to improve efficiency.
A fully integrated new website for the S.I.E.T. Group, bringing together all our institutions and the Trust, will reflect the history of the growth of S.I.E.T. history and the growth of Esteemed Legacy of the Southern India Education Trust. Stay tuned for a seamless, modern online experience that reflects our legacy and vision for the future.
As we celebrate the 75th year of S.I.E.T., we extend our heartfelt thanks to all who have contributed to its journey and success. I wish each one of you the very best and leave you with a single thought: let us continue to take the S.I.E.T. Group of Institutions to even greater heights of academic excellence.
“One of the major causes of personal failure is the lack of persistence in carrying through what one begins.”
We will also fine-tune ongoing projects and proceed in the right direction. Safeguarding the institutions property, assets and finances will remain a matter of the highest importance.
I look forward to seeing many smiling faces – across all ages – enough for us to hold a “Best Smile” competition!.
Mrs. Bader Sayeed B.A, B.L — Chairperson, SIET
