Overview

The Academy of Islamic Research was founded in 1981 to enable and strengthen research in Islamic Culture, History, Islamic Theology and Religion.

Through scholarly initiatives, publications and regular engagement, the Academy encourages deeper understanding of the Quran, Islamic history and teachings while supporting students, scholars and community learners.

Aims and Objectives

Primary Objectives

  • Carry out research work in Islamic History, Culture, Theology and Religion
  • Print and publish selected research works after proper evaluation in multiple languages
  • Edit and reprint well-known and useful publications, manuscripts and books out of print
  • Publish works on the Life of the Prophet, his teachings and teachings of the Holy Quran
  • Award stipends, fellowships and scholarships for qualified scholars to study religions and people
  • Correct wrong impressions about Islam and publish outcomes in books and pamphlets
  • Make publications widely available to the reading public in multiple languages

Regular Activities

Review meetings are held regularly on every Thursday, where frank and free discussions are conducted in the light of the teachings of the Quran.

📌 Discussion Themes

Topics include: Evolution of Man, Muslim Personal Law in India, Taqwa, Purpose of Haj, Treasury of Allah, Authentic Narration (Hadees), Importance of Salath, Status of Women in Islam, Charity (Zakath), Al-Nisa and more.

🤝 Community Learning

New members regularly join with interest in understanding the Quran through discussions and reference books available at the Academy.

Library

The Academy of Islamic Research maintains an Islamic Library with books in different languages, supporting both members and public learners.
