Overview

S.I.E.T. Dyslexia Centre is envisaged as a model school where the philosophy of inclusion and mainstreaming is practically demonstrated. Our Centre was established on 12th July 1999.

It is a Resource Centre for Justice Basheer Ahamed Sayeed Memorial Matriculation Higher Secondary Boys School and Fathima Basheer Matriculation Higher Secondary School for Girl’s (Recognized Schools of S.I.E.T).

This centre welcomes students from all walks of life. Our Centre ensures to provide an appropriate pattern suiting the child’s learning style and are instrumental in changing discriminatory attitudes.

Who will be accepted for admission?

Our Centre supports intelligent children who may be struggling due to learning difficulties. Below are some indicators:

Children who perform well orally but struggle in written exams.

May indicate processing difficulty rather than lack of intelligence.

Reversal errors are common indicators of dyslexia.

Spatial confusion and sequencing issues can be a marker.

Uneven performance could indicate learning differences.

Skipping words or adding sounds often occurs in dyslexia.

Motor planning and writing can be affected even if creativity is high.
