Overview

The Southern India Education Trust, appreciating the fact that the educational system in the country should gear up to provide women greater access to vocational, technical and professional education at all levels, played a significant role by establishing a Vocational Training Institute for girls with the permission of the Central Government — without looking for any official / Government aid.

Located in the heart of Chennai City, in the J.B.A.S. Women’s College Campus (formerly S.I.E.T. Women’s College), the centre was started in August 1989 and has completed 33 years of service to poor deserving girls. In August 2023, the institute stepped into the 34th year with pride.
